Rhenz Abando a champion anew as Anyang outlasts Seoul SK to rule KBL

Rhenz Abando got another chip, this time in an overseas league.

Abando and his Anyang KGC team outlasted defending champion Seoul SK, 100-97, in Game 7 of their finals duel to rule the 2022-2023 Korean Basketball League (KBL) on Sunday night at the Anyang Indoor Gymnasium.

This is Abando's first professional league title since steering Colegio de San Juan de Letran to the NCAA Season 97 title in his last collegiate year, when they defeated Mapua University in the championship round to complete a season sweep.

This is also Abando's second overall title with Anyang as they also ruled the East Asia Super League (EASL) Champions Week in March.
