Hollis-Jefferson, Standhardinger named PBA's Best Import, Best Player of the Conference
TNT reinforcement Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Barangay Ginebra big man Christian Standhardinger claimed the top two individual awards in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup.
Hollis-Jefferson was named the Best Import for steering the Tropang Giga to the finals, getting a total of 1,147 points with 619 points from statistics, 457 from media, and 71 from the players.
Ginebra's Justin Brownlee (966) came in second in the race while San Miguel's Cameron Clark (610) and Meralco's KJ Mcdaniels (573) were at third and fourth spot respectively.
Meanwhile, Standhardinger was the best local player after being named the Best Player of the Conference. The Filipino-German bruiser collected 1,110 points followed by TNT gunner RR Pogoy, who amassed 672.
CJ Perez of the Beermen (561) finished at third while claiming the fourth and fifth spots were Scottie Thompson (497) and Jamie Malonzo (456).
Hollis-Jefferson and the Tropang Giga are currently playing in Game 4 of the best-of-seven finals series against Ginebra in a bid to level the series at two games apiece.
