Magnolia trades Adrian Wong, future pick to Converge for Tratter, Murrell
Magnolia and Converge have figured in a trade as both teams look to start their buildup for the 48th Season of the PBA later this year.
The Hotshots traded Adrian Wong and a Season 48 first round pick to the FiberXers in exchange for Abu Tratter and David Murell, the league announced on Friday.
Big man Tratter and reigning PBA Slam Dunk champion Murrell will fill the limited frontcourt rotation of Magnolia with veteran bruiser Ian Sangalang still out due to an undisclosed injury.
The duo recently helped steer Converge to a playoff appearance where they fell to San Miguel in their quarterfinals round clash.
Meanwhile, Converge will receive the 6-foot-3 winger Wong who was among Magnolia's offensive weapons in one season he played alongside their other backcourt gunners in Mark Barroca, Paul Lee, and Jio Jalalon.
