Allen Liwag makes Benilde debut in AsiaBasket as Blazers rout MFT; San Beda downs Malaysian club MBC

Former Emilio Aguinaldo College big man Allen Liwag has made his debut for De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Wednesday in the AsiaBasket International Championship played in Malaysia.

Liwag posted nine points, five rebounds, three steals, and one block in the Blazers' 93-63 rout of the MFT Fruitmasters, their second win in the tournament. Miggy Corteza made 20 points while Zenrik Jarque added 14 points.

Meanwhile, San Beda University dealt Malaysian club MBC Kirin their first loss as they eked out a 68-58 victory.

Yukien Andrada led the Red Lions with 11 points, while Jacob Cortez and Jomel Puno added nine points apiece.

The two NCAA teams will continue their campaign tonight as the Blazers face fellow Filipino team Shawarma Shack while San Beda will go against Malaysian club KL Aseel. — LA, GMA Integrated News
