NU-Nazareth outlasts SHS-Ateneo de Cebu in 2OT to set up duel with Fil-Nation in NBTC National Finals

National University-Nazareth School outlasted Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in double overtime, 91-90, to keep its title defense bid alive in the 2023 NBTC on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

RJ Colonia dropped 29 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals, while Reinhard Jumamoy had 23 points, 12 boards, eight assists, and six steals in the NUNS win.

Jared Bahay, the top-ranked NBTC player, shot five triples for his 23 points, five dimes, and four boards.

NUNS will face Fil-Nation in the Division 1 Finals as the latter won over University of Santo Tomas, 74-66. The matchup is the main event of the tournament scheduled at 5 p.m..

Meanwhile in Division 2, Team Tarlac will face Don Bosco Dumaguete in the match slated at 3 p.m.

In the morning, the Girls Have Next had its finals at 9 a.m., while the All-Star Game between Team Hustle and Team Heart was slated for 12 p.m.
