Lee, Jalalon, Barroca post 19 each to propel Magnolia past Rain or Shine for fourth straight win

Three locals in Paul Lee, Jio Jalalon, and Mark Barroca posted 19 points each in Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots’ 112-97 victory over the Rain or Shine Elastopainters on Wednesday in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup at the PhilSports Arena.

It was a wire-to-wire win for the Hotshots as Magnolia led by 23, 106-83, before the halfway mark of the final frame.

Aside from the three locals, import Antonio Hester registered 17 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists. Russel Escoto also tallied 10 points for Magnolia’s fourth straight victory.

Rain or Shine import Greg Smith had 15 points, while Leonard Santillan led the locals with 14 points.

Magnolia will face Meralco on February 26 while Rain or Shine will play NLEX on February 25.
