“We are officially announcing that Wayne Selden will replace Jonathon Simmons as our import for the ongoing 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup,” said NLEX team manager Larry Fonacier in a statement.
“There were bumps in the road just to get him here but finally, he has arrived. We are hoping that Wayne can sustain the momentum that we have."
Selden will replace Simmons, who steered NLEX to a clean 4-0 card in the ongoing conference while posting norms 37.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals.
NLEX will go up against Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday in bid to make it five wins in a row.
