TNT cops another PBA 3x3 title, rules Leg 2 over Ginebra
Multi-titled TNT returned to the throne after trouncing Barangay Ginebra, 20-14, to rule the third conference's Leg 2 in PBA 3x3 Season 2 on Friday at the Robinsons Place in Antipolo City.
Almond Vosotros was once again on target, showing the way with 11 points and four rebounds as the Tropang Giga seized their sixth 3x3 title for the season and bagged a total of P100,000.
Chris Exciminiano, Lervin Flores, and new recruit Luis Villegas from University of the East all added three markers as well in the win.
Ginebra finished as runners-up as they couldn’t complete a Cinderella run that saw them foiling Purefoods in the quarterfinals, 13-11, and Cavitex in the semifinals, 21-15. Former University of Perpetual Help System DALTA guard Kim Aurin led Ginebra with nine points across his name.
The win marked Vosotros' return after missing Leg 1, where TNT made it to the semifinals and eventually lost to Cavitex in the battle for third place.
Meralco finished third after a 20-17 victory over Cavitex as Alfred Batino had seven points and five rebounds for the Bolts.
