Jordan Clarkson continues preparations for Gilas ahead of FIBA World Cup
With the 2023 FIBA World Cup just months ahead, Jordan Clarkson said he is continuing his preparations for basketball's biggest tournament this year.
Clarkson is expected to suit up for the Philippine men's national basketball team in the World Cup which will be hosted by the country, along with Japan and Indonesia, in August.
"I haven't really talked much with anybody [from the Gilas program] but I know that's in the future plans. It is coming up this summer, I'm getting prepared for that," Clarkson said in a media availability on Friday. "I'm excited for that."
"We're starting to prepare to get everything down logistics wise, get over there, get ready and compete."
During the fourth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers August last year, Clarkson played for the first time with Gilas Pilipinas in front of the home crowd when they beat Saudi Arabia, 84-46. Clarkson tallied 23 points from the said outing.
