Jerom Lastimosa to play out final year with Adamson
Jerom Lastimosa is putting off his plans to compete overseas as he vowed to play out his final year of eligibility with Adamson University come UAAP Season 86 next year.
The school announced the development on Tuesday, saying the 24-year-old guard will be returning to the Soaring Falcons' nest for one last time as they try to end the school's title drought that has spanned for more than 40 years now.
Lastimosa was nothing short of sensational in the recently concluded Season 85, where Adamson reached the Final Four stage only to fall prey to eventual champion Ateneo de Manila University in their semifinals clash.
The 5-foot-11 court general averaged 14.83 points, 4.33 rebounds, 3.42 assists, and 0.92 steals to steer Adamson to its first playoff appearance since Season 81.
His performance was enough to turn heads abroad as he attracted offers from overseas clubs such as some Korean Basketball League (KBL) and Japan Basketball League squads.
But the King Falcon made the decision to stay put and finish what he started with the San Marcelino crew.
