UAAP suspends NU's Baclaan, DLSU's Tchuido, Ateneo's Makanjuola for one game
The UAAP on Friday handed out one-game suspensions each to three players.
National University's Kean Baclaan was slapped with the sanction after committing two technical fouls during the Bulldogs' game against DLSU last Wednesday. His first technical foul occurred with 5:31 left in the second quarter while his second technical foul happened with 8:43 remaining in the third quarter, resulting in his eventual ejection from the game.
The two technical fouls were issued to the rookie for faking a foul. Baclaan will serve his suspension when NU takes on Adamson University on Saturday.
Meanwhile, two players in the women's basketball division were also given one-game suspensions as Fina Niantcho Tchuido of DLSU and Ateneo de Manila University's Sarah Makanjuola will likewise sit out their respective team's games on Saturday.
Niantcho Tchuido committed a flagrant unsportsmanlike foul during their game against NU last Wednesday, where she was caught biting Kristine Cayabyab during a dead ball situation.
Makanjuola, on the other hand, hit University of the East's Kamba Kone in the face with a closed fist that resulted in her disqualification.
