Bay Area punches playoff ticket with rout of NLEX

Bay Area sealed its spot in the quarterfinals after carving out a 118-98 victory over NLEX in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

It was the Dragons all the way, leading by as much as 26 late in the fourth period, 117-91, after a Chuanxing Liu free throw with 2:18 left. The Road Warriors never had a taste of the lead all game long.

Import Myles Powell powered the guest team with 36 points, eight rebounds,  six assists, two steals, and one block as Bay Area improved to 8-2 while NLEX dropped its fourth straight game to go 3-6.

Powell got enough help as Glen Yang chipped in 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals while Hayden Blankley chimed in with a double-double of 13 markers and 14 boards.

Earl Clark led the Road Warriors with 17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and two steals while Justin Chua and Don Trollano each finished with 15 markers.
