Quincy Miller drops 46 to tow streaking Converge past Phoenix
The Converge FiberXers do not lag in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
On Tuesday, the FiberXers defeated the Phoenix Fuelmasters, 132-127, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to extend their winning streak to six.
The match was a neck-and-neck affair until the FiberXers pulled away in the fourth quarter and led by 12, 119-107, after a triple from Maverick Ahanmisi. Converge eventually held control of the game to take the victory.
Converge import Quincy Miller dropped 46 points, connected 8-on-13 triples, on top of his 18 boards to improve the FiberXer's standings to 7-2. RK Ilagan also waxed hot from beyond the arc with six treys for his 22-point output, while Jeron Teng led the locals with 25 points.
Kaleb Wesson posted a statline of 25 points, 21 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Javee Mocon, Sean Anthony, and Encho Serrano chipped in 17 points each in the loss which brought them down to 5-4.
Converge will play Rain or Shine on Sunday, while Phoenix will go against Magnolia on Saturday.
