UAAP, PBA games canceled due to Paeng


Two major leagues have decided to call off their games following the threat of Tropical Storm Paeng.

UAAP has canceled the games between De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas and host Adamson University and Ateneo de Manila University, both of which were to take place at the Araneta Coliseum.

UAAP has also decided to scrap women's badminton games.

Meanwhile, PBA announced in a bulletin that it is also postponing its Saturday double-header featuring the game between Meralco and San Miguel as well as a Rain or Shine and Magnolia matchup.

Neither league has announced an updated schedule.

The Premier Volleyball League and Shakey’s Super League also canceled their games due to Paeng.

The PVL canceled the Cignal-Choco Mucho and F2-Petro Gazz matches supposed to be played in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, while SSL canceled the Saturday games which include UST and FEU, UP and Ateneo, and NU and Perpetual Help.
