UAAP slaps one-game suspensions on DLSU's CJ Austria, UST's Adama Faye for flagrant unsportsmanlike fouls

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines on Tuesday announced its decision to suspend De La Salle University's CJ Austria and University of Santo Tomas' Adama Faye for the next match of their respective teams in UAAP Season 85.

Austria will serve a one-game suspension due to a "flagrant unsportsmanlike foul with no direct play for the ball" he committed during the 5:59 mark of the third quarter of their game against Far Eastern University last October 15.

Faye, meanwhile, had a "flagrant unsportsmanlike foul" with 56 seconds left in the third quarter of their game against University of the East last October 16.

Austria will be forced to skip La Salle's match against National University while Faye will serve the suspension on UST's game against FEU, both to be played on Wednesday.

Aside from the DLSU-NU and UST-FEU matches, Ateneo de Manila University will play Adamson University, while UE will face the defending champs University of the Philippines in Wednesday's quadruple header.
