Miller, Ahanmisi join forces as Converge arrests skid at Meralco’s expense

Import Quincy Miller and Maverick Ahanmisi led the charge as the Converge FiberXers arrested a two-game losing skid at the expense of Meralco, 106-99, in the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Saturday.

Miller showed the way with a double-double of 29 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, five steals, and three blocks as the FiberXers improved to 2-2.

Ahanmisi, meanwhile, led the locals with 21 markers, three boards, and two dimes while Allyn Bulanadi chipped in the 12 points in the win that came on head coach Aldin Ayo’s birthday.

The Bolts, who are coming off a win over Terrafirma last Friday, dropped to 1-3 even after a stellar outing from reinforcement Johnny O’bryant.

O’bryant led Meralco with 27 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists while Aaron Black chimed in with 18 markers, seven boards, and six assists.
