Mocon, Tio star as Phoenix upsets Ginebra

Javee Mocon and Tyler Tio connived to steer Phoenix Super LPG to a 101-93 upset of Barangay Ginebra in the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Friday.

Mocon tallied a team-high 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists while Tio remained reliable for the Fuel Masters with 17 markers and seven dimes as Phoenix improved to 2-3.

This was also Phoenix’ second win in a row after a 111-97 mastery of NLEX saturday where Tio dropped  26 big points.

Encho Serrano also provided the spark off the bench with 16 points while Sean Anthony chipped in 14 in the win.

Ginebra was led by resident import Justin Brownlee who poured in 23 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and one steal.

Ginebra slid to an even 2-2 card.
