Brownlee drops 46 as Barangay Ginebra deals Bay Area its first loss
Justin Brownlee was on target as he steered Barangay Ginebra to a 111-93 upset of erstwhile undefeated Bay Area in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Sunday at the PhilSports Arena.
The veteran import finished with 46 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two steals as Ginebra dealt the Dragons their first taste of loss after an impressive 4-0 start to the season.
Jamie Malonzo chipped in 17 markers, six boards, and one dime while Jeremiah Gray finally played his first PBA game and chime in with five points, three rebounds as the Gin Kings improved to 2-1.
Andrew Nicholson, who replaced Myles Powell as Bay Area reinforcement, paced the guest club with 28 points and 12 rebounds while Glen Yang and Kobey Lam finished with 15 and 13 markers apiece.
