Bay Area turns back Converge to go 4-0
Guest team Bay Area Dragons continued their winning streak after turning back a late-game rally from Converge, 106-100, to remain undefeated in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Friday.
Bay Area led by as many as 22, 94-72, early in the fourth period but a big run capped by a Quincy Miller jumper brought the FiberXers to within four, 104-100, with 1:29 left in the game.
Myles Powell then completed his two freebies off a foul from Abu Tratter to seal the victory for Bay Area.
Powell finished with 33 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block while Glen Yang chipped in a double-double of 23 markers and 11 boards to go along with five dimes and three steals.
Miller led Converge with 38 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and one steal while Jeron Teng and Allyn Bulanadi each chimed in with 11 markers.
Bay Area improved to 4-0 while Converge dropped to 1-2.
