Amer delivers game-winner, Krutwig registers triple-double as Blackwater upsets San Miguel
The Blackwater Bossing stunned the San Miguel Beermen, 109-106, in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Down 106-104 with 1:48 left in the fourth period, Baser Amer delivered a triple at the last 32 seconds mark to give Blackwater the lead. Mike Ayonayon added another shot with 20 seconds left to seal the deal for Blackwater. The Beermen had the lead, 64-61, at the end of the first half.
Blackwater import Cameron Krutwig posted 20 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists while Amer had 16 points.
June Mar Fajardo tallied 23 markers and 16 points, while San Miguel's new import Diamond Stone had 20 points and 8 rebounds.
Blackwater (2-2) will face NorthPort on Wednesday, while SMB (0-1) will try to bounce back against Rain or Shine on Sunday.
