Bolick erupts for career-high 44 to lift NorthPort past Meralco in OT

Robert Bolick shone brightly with another career-high outing to steer NorthPort to a 101-95 thrilling overtime win over Meralco in the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Friday.

Bolick erupted for 44 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and one steal as the Batang Pier bounced back from a recent heartbreaking loss to the Bay Area Dragons last Saturday.

The win allowed NorthPort to improve to 2-1 while Meralco opened its campaign with a 0-1 card.

Tied at 89, Bolick starred in the extra period by notching five points as the Batang Pier outscored the Bolts, 12 to 6.

This was Bolick’s second straight game with a career-high performance and NorthPort didn’t let it slip this time around following a defeat to the Dragons through a buzzer-beater triple of Myles Powell.

The San Beda product detonated for 33 points in that game.
