Jamie Malonzo, Von Pessumal traded to Ginebra
Barangay Ginebra acquired the rights of NorthPort Batang Pier's Jamie Malonzo and San Miguel Beer's Von Pessumal ahead of the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
The PBA announced on Tuesday the trades which shipped Malonzo to Ginebra in exchange for Arvin Tolentino, Prince Caperal, and a 2022 first round draft pick.
Meanwhile, Pessumal was involved in a three-team deal, with NorthPort acquiring the former Ateneo player for SMB's rights to NorthPort's 2024 and 2025 second round draft picks. Ginebra then acquired Pessumal's rights which gave NorthPort the rights to Jeff Chan and Kent Salado.

In the recently concluded Philippine Cup, Malonzo averaged 17.20 points and 10.30 rebounds per game, while Pessumal had 2.50 points and 1 rebound per game.
The trade was announced a day after the Troy Rosario-Calvin Oftana three-team deal.
