Marvin Hayes, Jeric Teng banner new PBA 3x3 team J&T Express

Marvin Hayes and Jeric Teng will spearhead the newest team in the PBA 3x3, J&T Express, who will make its league debut in the second season that opens this September 10 at Robinsons Antipolo.

Hayes is no stranger to the 3x3 scene as he previously played for the national 3x3 squad and had suited up for a number of clubs like the Limitless Appmasters and Purefoods TJ Titans in the PBA 3x3.

Teng, who last saw action for Master Sardines Fishing Champs, will help Hayes lead the team alongside sweet-shooting forward Joseph Sedurifa, Robin Rono, and Filipino-American bruiser Keith Datu.

Ryan Monteclaro will serve as the head coach of J&T.

"We're honored to put up our own team in the PBA 3x3 arena. As one of the leading express delivery service providers in the country, we feel that this endeavor will only extend our reach and we thank the PBA for welcoming J&T Express with open arms into the PBA family," said Zoe Chi, J&T Express Philippines vice president, during the team launch on Tuesday.

Monteclaro, who has been a figure in the 3x3 stage, admitted it's going to be a challenge to be battling against some of the best teams in the league but stressed they are up to the task.

"We're excited to represent J&T Express in the PBA 3x3 and we believe that we have put up a competitive team which can challenge the best squads out there. We know it's going to be a challenge, but we're ready and we're embracing it," Monteclaro said.
