Jordan Clarkson, Dwight Ramos defend Chot amid boos for coach from home crowd
Gilas Pilipinas stars Jordan Clarkson and Dwight Ramos came to the defense of head coach Chot Reyes as the coach received boos from the crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena on Monday night.
Clarkson said being part of the team, Reyes should also get the support, especially from fellow Filipinos.
"He's one of us," Clarkson said. "Hearing the boos in the crowd or whatever's going on, I'm not here a lot, so I don't really know what's going on but it's kinda bulls—t."
"He's our coach, he's one of us, he works hard, he puts us together," Clarkson added.
"He's coming back to this because he loves the country, he loves this team," he also said.
"For somebody to throw a stone at him for putting this together, putting me and Kai [Sotto], his vision coming back to the game, this is bulls—t."

Clarkson also called on everyone to support Reyes and the coaching team as the country prepares for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
"We all should just support him," he said. "Next World Cup, whatever we have, we all got to have each other's back."
Ramos also said he did not appreciate the boos from the crowd.
"Thank you for coming out and supporting but if you’re gonna support, I would appreciate you guys just not booing our coach," he said.
