Jalen Green has 'nothing but love and appreciation' after visit to the Philippines

A week after his visit in the Philippines, Filipino-American NBA player Jalen Green said his homecoming was something he will never forget.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Green posted some photos of his visit in the Philippines and recalled his experience in the JG4 Manila Tour.

"Everyone treated it like I never left and all the love remained the same," he wrote. "I got to connect with my culture in the Philippines more and got to see where my family is originally from."

"Nothing but love and appreciation from me to the Philippines, thank you. I’ll be back soon," he added.

Aside from the Manila leg of his tour where he got to talk with members of the press and interacted with some fans in a cultural immersion, Green also had a basketball clinic in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur last August 13. Green's mom, Bree Purganan, hails from Ilocos Sur.

Green arrived in Manila on August 10 for the JG4 Manila Tour hosted by sports and lifestyle brand adidas Philippines.
