Carl Tamayo tows UP past UPHSD, Adamson beats Arellano in Filoil preseason tiff

UAAP Season 84 Rookie of the Year Carl Tamayo powered the University of the Philippines past University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, 75-64, in the Filoil EcoOil 15th Preseason Cup on Monday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

Tamayo led the way with 21 markers in the win of the Diliman-based squad. Jielo Razon had 16 points for the Altas in the loss.

Earlier, Adamson University defeated Arellano University, 67-48, with John Erolon leading the Falcons in scoring with 15 points.

Filoil action will continue on Wednesday with the tournament playing five games, one of which is NCAA champions Colegio de San Juan de Letran taking on Jose Rizal University at 3:00 pm.
