Chris Tiu tests positive for COVID-19

Sports and TV personality Chris Tiu has tested positive for COVID-19.

"After 2+ years of being able to evade the virus, we caught it... and on my birthday," Tiu said in an Instagram post on Friday.

Tiu said his condition is not severe and he is with his family.

"But at least nothing severe and I'm with my girls, which is  what I really wanted for today."

According to the Department of Health on Friday, the National Capital Region registered a 13% COVID-19 positivity rate while the national rate is at 10%.
