Greg Slaughter signs with Japan B.League B2 team Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka


Greg Slaughter is heading to Japan.

Japan B.League Division 2 team Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka announced on Saturday the signing of Slaughter to their team for the upcoming season of the league.

 

 

In a statement, Slaughter said he was happy to play for Fukuoka in the B.League.

"Hello everyone, I am really excited to play for the great city of Fukuoka and the fans! Thank you for all the support and I can't wait to see you all," Slaughter said.

Slaughter last played for the NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA. Prior to that, he played for Barangay Ginebra from 2013-2020 where he had four championships. He was also the Best Player of the Conference of the 2017 Governors' Cup.

Slaughter will follow the likes of Ray Parks and Kiefer Ravena, who were PBA players who also went to the Japan B.League. The big man will be joined by Kobe Paras and Jordan Heading in Division 2 of the league. Other Filipino players in the Japan B.League include Thirdy Ravena, Dwight Ramos, Justine Baltazar, and local Matt Aquino.
