Gilas Pilipinas Girls finish third in FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship

The Philippine national women's basketball team finished third as they defeated Lebanon, 90-68, in the battle for third place in Division B of the FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship on Thursday in Jordan.

The Gilas U16 women's team had a strong showing in the second and third quarters of the game, where they scored 24 and 23 points, respectively, and limited Lebanon to less than 20 points in both quarters.

Gabriella Ramos and Kristan Geyl Yumul both tallied 20 markers, while Naomi Natalie Panganiban had 16 points in the Philippines' bounce back win after falling to Samoa in the semifinals on Wednesday.

Samoa and Syria will face in the finals of the tournament.
