Casio, Ular star as Blackwater hands NorthPort back-to-back losses

Veteran Jvee Casio and rookie Ato Ular led Blackwater as they got past NorthPort, 97-90, to get back in the win column of the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup on Saturday at the Ynares Centre in Antipolo City.

The 35-year-old Casio poured in a team-high 22 points, five assists, three rebounds, and two steals as the Bossing bounced back from a previous close loss to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel last June 12.

With Casio leading the way, helping him was Letran product Ato Ular who churned out 17 markers, five boards, and a block as Blackwater improved to 2-1 while NorthPort dropped to 2-2.

The latest defeat was Batang Pier's second in a row after opening the season with two consecutive victories against Rain or Shine and Terrafirma.
