SJ Belangel might soon bring his act to Daegu, South Korea.

According to a report by Naver Sports, Belangel is set to sign with Daegu Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) Pegasus, which will make him the first Filipino cager to be tapped as import in the Korean Basketball League.

The report added that the draft of the contract between Belangel and the Korean club has been completed with the official announcement set to be made in the coming days.

In the same report, Naver quoted an official from the team who said: "I requested the official contract form in English from KBL, and we plan to finish writing the contract as soon as we receive it."

The quoted official added: "If you join our team, your family will come to Korea with you. The player himself is also interested in Korea."

With Belangel turning pro in Korea, he will have to forgo his two playing years left with the Blue Eagles, who recently fell to University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 84 championship game.
