Ginebra trades Javi Gomez de Liaño, Brian Enriquez to Terrafirma for No. 2 pick Jeremiah Gray
Barangay Ginebra was quick to make moves two days after the 2022 PBA Rookie Draft, sending 8th overall pick Javi Gomez de Liaño and Brian Enriquez to Terrafirma ahead of the opening of Season 47.
The deal will let Ginebra acquire the rights to Jeremiah Gray, the second overall pick in the recent draft, as they eye to build on the momentum from winning the 2021 Governors' Cup.
The transaction has been approved by the PBA.
Aside from Ginebra, two teams have also made tweaks in their respective roster as the NLEX Road Warriors and the Converge FiberXers were involved in another trade.
The Road Warriors sent its seventh pick Tyrus Hill and David Murrell to the FiberXers in exchange for a first round pick in next season's rookie draft.
Season 47 is tipped to open on June 5 with the PBA eyeing to return to its original three-conference format.
