In a call with PBA commissioner Willie Marcial, he said that according to reports relayed to him, smoke from the nearby area entered the venue. With the development, they have sent home the 3x3 players after the reported fire.
The fate of the scheduled Game 6 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals also hangs in the balance with the said development.
"Hihintayin natin ang Araneta kung ano ang assessment nila," Marcial said.
The Governors' Cup Finals between Barangay Ginebra and Meralco was scheduled later at 6 pm.
