Kai Sotto, Adelaide fall to Tasmania to pick up 14th loss
Kai Sotto was put in a starting role but that was spoiled as the Adelaide 36ers fell to the Tasmania JackJumpers, 80-72, in the National Basketball League (NBL) on Friday at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Sotto, who usually comes off the bench for the 36ers, finished with six points, four rebounds, and a steal as they absorbed their 14th loss in 21 games for a 7-14 card while Tasmania improved to 13-10.
Daniel Johnson and Sunday Dech were the other bright spots for the 36ers with the former collecting 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists while Dech had 15 markers, five boards, and two dimes.
Meanwhile, Tasmania leaned on hot-shooting Josh Adams who poured in a game-high 31 points, five rebounds, and two assists while helping him in the win was Jack Mcveigh who grabbed 14 markers.
The 36ers were coming off a 100-92 victory over the South East Melbourne Phoenix last Sunday. They will try to bounce back on Sunday against the Brisbane Bullets at 1 p.m.
