Farewell, Alaska Aces

The Alaska Aces have played their last game in the Philippine Basketball Association.

The storied ballclub announced last month that the 2021 PBA Governors' Cup would be their final conference in the league.

The team made it to the playoffs and faced the NLEX Road Warriors who held a twice-to-beat advantage, but Alaska forced a sudden death to extend their journey for at least one more game.

A miracle was not to be, however, as the Road Warriors finally shut the door on the exiting Aces on Saturday.

Alaska won 14 championships, including a rare grand slam in 1996, in its 36 years of action in the PBA.
