Matthew Aquino makes it to Japan lineup for FIBA World Cup Qualifiers
Filipino-Japanese big man Matthew Aquino was included in the Japan national team's roster for the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
The announcement was confirmed by his team in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League) on Friday.
"This is Aquino’s first time ever to suit up to represent Japan," the team said in its post.

Aquino will be part of the team that will play Chinese Taipei in the qualifiers this morning.
Aquino, who played for Adamson University and National University, is listed as a local in the B.League.
Japan is also already assured of a slot in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, being one of the co-hosts, alongside the Philippines and Indonesia.
