Ray Parks, Dwight Ramos, Kiefer Ravena, Javi GDL notch wins in B.League Christmas games


Basketball never stops even in the Japan Professional Basketball League as the respective teams of Ray Parks, Dwight Ramos, Javi Gomez de Liaño, and Kiefer Ravena notched wins on Christmas Day.

Parks was limited to five points in the 84-53 Nagoya Diamond Dolphins win over Kyoto Hannaryz, with Scott Eatherton leading the pack with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Coty Clarke added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

Ramos also had five points in the Toyama Grouses' 89-77 victory against the Gunma Crane Thunders. Joshua Smith listed 21 markers and 10 boards in the win, while Keijuro Matsui and Julian Mavunga had 15 points each.

Ravena, meanwhile, was limited to two points as the Shiga Lakestars defeated Kobe Paras and his squad Niigata Albirex BB, 78-59. Novar Gadson had 19 points and four rebounds in the Shiga win. Paras had six points in the losing effort.

On the other hand, Javi Gomez de Liaño and his Ibaraki Robots squad defeated Matthew Aquino and the Shinshu Brave Warriors, 79-67. Javi registered six points and six boards in the win, while Aquino played only for 7:22 minutes.

Nagoya (15-7), Shiga (8-14), Toyama (8-14), and Ibaraki (4-18) will try to repeat their wins on Sunday against the same opponents.

Meanwhile, the San-en Neophoenix suffered a 97-69 loss against Seahorses Mikawa, despite Thirdy Ravena postubg 10 points.

The teams of both Kemark Cariño and Juan Gomez de Liaño suffered losses in Division 2 action.

Cariño and his team Aomori Wat's lost to the Saga Ballooners, 64-40, where he logged 11:54 minutes of play. Meanwhile, Juan did not see action in the 92-80 loss of Earthfriends Tokyo Z against the Kagawa Five Arrows.
