Mike Harris drops 26 as Magnolia wins second straight with victory over Rain or Shine


Mike Harris led the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok to its second straight win in the PBA Governors' Cup taking it, 109-98, at the expense of the Rain or Shine Elastopainters on Sunday.

Harris listed 26 markers and six boards in the game after getting 30 and 15 in the win against Terrafirma.

The Hotshots had their biggest lead at the 7:40 mark of the fourth period, 96-78, after Jio Jalalon sunk his charities off a Jewel Ponferada foul. Magnolia had the lead at the end of the first half, 55-48.

Calvin Abueva added 18 points to the Magnolia win, while Jalalon and Ian Sangalang had 14 and 11 each.

Henry Walker had 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead Rain or Shine, while Rey Nambatac had 23 points of his own. Javee Mocon had 20 points while Beau Belga had 14 in the losing effort.

Magnolia (2-0) will be back in action on Saturday against rivals Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Rain or Shine (2-2) will try to bounce back against the TNT Tropang Giga on Sunday.
