Parks scores 15 as Nagoya nips Ramos' Toyama; Gomez de Liaño, Aquino drop games

Ray Parks was a key cog for his Nagoya Diamond Dolphins as they escaped fellow Filipino cager Dwight Ramos and his Toyama squad, 90-85, in the 2021 Japan B. League on Saturday at their home venue, the Dolphins Arena.

The second generation baller finished with 15 points, three assists, and two rebounds while Coty Clarke led the charge with 16 markers, six boards, and five dimes as Nagoya improved to 13-7.

Toyama, meanwhile, dropped to 7-13 despite Ramos' 11 points, five rebounds, and two steals.

Other Filipinos like Javi Gomez de Liaño and Matt Aquino, though, weren't as successful as Parks.

Gomez de Liaño and the Ibaraki Robots fell short against Alvark Tokyo, 79-73, for a second defeat in a row since suffering a 103-92 setback against Hokkaido.

Aquino's Shinshu Brave Warriors fell to Shimane Susanoo Magic, 91-71, to absorb their sixth straight losses for a 9-11 card. Aquino logged 17 minutes but was only able to register one rebound.
