Barangay Ginebra cruises in 26-point romp over skidding NorthPort
Barangay Ginebra proved to be too much against struggling NorthPort after it claimed a lopsided 108-82 victory in the 2021 PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Resident import Justin Brownlee led the rampage for Ginebra, posting 28 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block as they booked their second win in a row for a 2-0 card.
Arvin Tolentino was also instrumental in the victory as he registered a career-high 16 markers while veteran guard LA Tenorio chipped in 14 points. The victory also saw Ginebra record its largest win margin since their 132-105 Game 3 win in 2019 Governors' Cup semifinals against, incidentally, NorthPort.
Ginebra's win spoiled Robert Bolick's career-high 32-point performance as NorthPort dropped its fourth consecutive outing to remain at the bottom of the team standings.
Aside from his output, the former NCAA standout also listed seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals in the loss.
Ginebra will only have a one-day break before it faces Phoenix Super LPG on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
