Kai Sotto's Adelaide 36ers claim Loggins-Bruton Cup in NBL Blitz domination


The Adelaide 36ers, Kai Sotto's team in the National Basketball League (NBL), finished the preseason tournament NBL Blitz undefeated and claimed the Loggins-Bruton Cup after a 72-67 win over the Brisbane Bullets on Sunday.

Up by a single digit with 1:18 left, Daniel Johnson scored a basket to give the Sixers a three-point advantage. Mitch Mccarron sank the charities off a Deng Deng foul with five ticks remaining to seal the win.

Johnson listed 16 markers and seven boards, while Todd Withers added 13 points for the Sixers win.

Tanner Krebs had 15 pts, while Jason Cadee had 12 in the Bullets' losing effort.

Sotto only played in Adelaide's first game of the preseason, where he registered seven points.

Adelaide head coach CJ Bruton previously said Sotto was rested as the Sixers are preparing for the NBL regular season which starts December 3. They will play the Perth Wildcats for their season opener.
