Kai Sotto to be rested in Adelaide's third game in NBL Blitz

Filipino prodigy Kai Sotto will not play again in the preseason tournament National Basketball League (NBL) Blitz on Sunday.

The Adelaide 36ers, in an update on its website, said the 19-year old player will be rested in their game against the Tasmania JackJumpers due to soreness. The update did not indicate what kind of soreness he is suffering.

Aside from Sotto, his teammate Todd Withers will also not play. Tad Dufelemeier, on the other hand, will be a game tame decision.

Sotto also did not play in Adelaide's game last Tuesday against the Perth Wildcats, which they won 63-56.

Adelaide is currently at the fourth spot of the NBL Blitz ladder with 10.5 points after winning in 4.5 quarters in their past two games.
