After missing the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup, will Mark Caguioa play in the upcoming Governors' Cup?

A tweet from a Barangay Ginebra fan account on Wednesday asked head coach Tim Cone whether the team veteran will play in the upcoming conference.

The multi-titled mentor gamely answered the question.

"That will be Mark's decision. If he wants to suit up, we will certainly make the room for him," Cone said.

At the start of the recently concluded Philippine Cup, Caguioa was in the team's reserve list as the former Most Valuable Player went to the United States to attend to some family matters.

According to reports, however, Caguioa became an unrestricted free agent back in September.

Caguioa last played in the 2020 Philippine Cup in Clark, Pampanga where he won his ninth championship with Ginebra.
