Phoenix set to trade Vic Manuel, Michael Calisaan to NorthPort for Sean Anthony

Vic Manuel will find himself in a different uniform anew when the PBA resumes with the 2021 Governors' Cup later this month.

According to his agent, Danny Espiritu, Manuel and his Phoenix Super LPG teammate Michael Calisaan are on the trading block and will both be headed to NorthPort in exchange for Sean Anthony, Sean Manganti, and a future second round pick. The PBA Commissioner's Office on Friday afternoon approved the deal.

This will be the second time Manuel will be traded this year alone as he was already involved in one last February, when his former team Alaska sent him to Phoenix in exchange for Brian Heruela and future draft picks.

Manuel posted averages of 12.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in the previous Philippine Cup, where the Fuel Masters finished 10th with a 4-8 card.

"Kahapon kausap ko si [Paolo] Bugia pero 'yung papers nasa kanya pa. Hindi ko lang alam ngayon kung nasa kanya pa or nasa PBA office na ba," Espiritu told GMA News Online on Friday.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for the 34-year-old Manuel as it was the same franchise who drafted him back in 2012.

He was selected ninth overall by then GlobalPort Batang Pier, where he played for only a season.
