Jimmy Alapag back as assistant coach for Sacramento Kings in NBA Summer League
Former Gilas Pilipinas captain Jimmy Alapag is back as an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Summer League.
Alapag was included in the list of assistant coaches of the Kings for the Summer League, released on August 7 and reported by NBC Sports.
He will work with head coach Bobby Jackson and will handle players such as India's Princepal Singh and Alex Antetokounmpo, brother of NBA champs Giannis, Thanasis, and Kostas.
Alapag also worked with the Kings in the Summer League back in 2019.

The Kings on Wednesday recognized Alapag's journey to the NBA through a Twitter thread.
"The Captain becomes a King," one tweet said.
The Kings included Alapag's stint in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the men's national basketball team. It also included his coaching experience in the PBA's Meralco Bolts and the ASEAN Basketball League's Alab Pilipinas.
"He is currently making a run to enter the NBA as an assistant coach, with an opportunity this summer to be Assistant coach for the Kings Summer League team," the team wrote.

Alapag, his wife LJ Moreno, and the rest of their family, migrated to the United States in September last year.
