Christian Standhardinger game-winner lifts Ginebra past NorthPort

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel grabbed a huge win as new addition Christian Standhardinger hit a putback at the buzzer to push his team past NorthPort, 87-85, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena.

NorthPort rattled off seven unanswered points to tie the game at 85-apiece before Standhardinger made sure of the win by grabbing an offensive rebound off a Stanley Pringle miss and scored the game-winner as time expired.

Pringle led Ginebra with 24 points while LA Tenorio posted 20 points and seven assists.

Japeth Aguilar added 15 points, eight rebounds, and four assists while his frontcourt parter, Standhardinger, had a double-double with 13 point and 12 boards in the win.

They improved to 2-2 with the victory while NorthPort dropped to 1-3.

Robert Bolick led the Batang Pier with 23 points while Greg Slaughter finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
