Hawks outduel 76ers in Game 4, tie series at 2-2

The Atlanta Hawks charged back from a big first half deficit to beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 103-100, and knot up their NBA Eastern Conference semifinal series on Monday (Tuesday in Manila).

Trae Young posted game-highs of 25 points and 18 assists and delivered some key points down the stretch for No. 5-seed Atlanta.

The Hawks and the No. 1-seeeded 76ers are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-seven series.

Bogdan Bogdanovic added 22 points while John Collins (14 points and 12 rebounds) and Clint Capela (12 points and 13 boards) both notched double-doubles in the win.

Philadelphia led by double-digits at the half, 62-49, before Atlanta rallied for a big third quarter where they outscored the Sixers, 31-20.

The fourth quarter was mostly close but the Hawks made one crucial push at the right time.

Down by four, 98-94, they went off and scored seven unanswered points on a John Collins three-pointer and four straight points from Young to take a 101-98 lead with 49.6 seconds left.

Philadephia star center Joel Embiid hit two free throws to make it a one-point game, but he missed on a shot that could've pushed his team into the lead with 8.8 seconds left in the game.

Young then hit two more free throws to make it a three-point game and a potential game-tying shot from 76er Seth Curry would not drop as time expired.

Embiid finished with just 17 points but grabbed 21 rebounds in the game. He scored 39, 40 and 27 points in the first three games of the series.

Tobias Harris led the 76ers in this one with 20 points.
