Andre Paras selected by Blackwater in PBA Rookie Draft

Athlete and celebrity Andre Paras was selected by the Blackwater Bossing in the PBA Season 46 Rookie Draft held on Sunday.

He was the third pick in the third round (27th overall) in the regular draft of the rookie selection.

Paras, standing at 6-foot-4, is following in the footsteps of his father and one of the league's greatest players, Benjie Paras, in playing in Asia's oldest professional basketball league.

He played for La Salle Green Hills in high school and played one season for the UP Fighting Maroons in college. Paras also played for AMA Education in the PBA D-League.

Earlier, Jordan Heading topped the special Gilas round of the PBA Draft, while Joshua Munzon was the top overall pick of the regular round. The two will go to the Terrafirma Dyip. — LA, GMA News
