Thirdy Ravena suffers finger injury vs SR Shibuya in Japan's B.League

Thirdy Ravena has suffered a finger injury in San-En Neophoenix' game against SR Shibuya on Saturday.

In an announcement on its website, the team said Ravena has a metacarpal oblique fracture on his right fourth finger.

The former UAAP star also gave an update on his Instagram account on Monday, saying that he met the team doctor and physiotherapist for his rehabilitation.

"We are now in the process of getting myself back to a hundred percent as soon as we can but I do understand that it will be an arduous journey to recovery," he said.

"With the help of my ever supportive teammates and our hardworking team staff at San-En, I am fully focused on getting back and making sure I return fitter and stronger than ever," he added.

Ravena also thanked the San-En fans and supporters for their well-wishes.

"I'll be taking this time to realign and refocus so that I can give you the best version of myself the next time I step on the court. See you all soon," he said.

Ravena, who took his talents to the Japan B.League as Asian import, has been selected for the All-Star Game on January 15 and 16.

However, no date for his return to the court has been determined by the team.

Ravena earlier missed action after contracting the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in late November. He was cleared to rejoin his team in December.
