Thirdy Ravena selected for B.League All-Star


Thirdy Ravena, the Asian import of the San-En NeoPhoenix, has been selected as one of the players which will participate in the All-Star game of the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League).

In an announcement on Monday, the league said Ravena is one of its recommended players for the All-Star game, while other players were chosen by fan voting.

 

 

The former Ateneo star will play for the B.White team with Kenji Sato of the Kawasaki Brave Thunders as its head coach. Ravena will play alongside other recommended players Jordan Taylor, Gavin Edwards, Kelsuke Masuda, Naoto Tsuji, Avi Schafer, and Narito Namizato.

Yuki Togashi, Ryusel Shinoyama, Sebastian Size, and Nick Fazekas, players voted by the fans, will also join Ravena in the B.White team. One more team member, to be chosen by fans, will be named on Wednesday.

They will play against B.Black under head coach Luka Pavi?evi? of Alvark Tokyo.

Ravena, who is averaging 9.3 points in seven games, is the only player from San-En chosen for the All-Star game.

The All-Star game will be held on January 15-16, 2021.

Ravena returned to play on Saturday after recovering from COVID-19. He tested positive for the disease last November. — LA, GMA News
